Your perfect Bali retreat - little rice paddy villa -tranquil and private - in the cultural heart of Ubud
My Ubud house is surrounded by luscious green rice paddies with views of distant mountains. Beautiful and tranquil, the house is fully furnished and equipped.
Contemporary design with touches of traditional Balinese architecture. Securely ensconced in a walled compound, private and quiet.
My house is located in the famous Ubud village - the artistic heart of Bali, acclaimed for its arts, both indigenous and Western; dance, drama, painting, sculpture, as well as stunning vistas and architecture. Bali is also considered the spa capital of the world and Ubud is where it is at. You can be pampered daily at various spas or even at home. Plus numerous yoga studios and many internationally acclaimed yoga teachers, many within walking distance from my house.
Sunny living/dining room has sliding glass doors that open onto a lotus pond and rice fields.
Excellent location on the Tjampuan Ridge – 10 minutes walk to Ubud (and only 10 minutes walk to Ubud’s newest, best stocked Bintang supermarket).
Private and secure. Fully serviced – the rental includes English speaking housekeeper.
1200 sq feet on two levels - the house is perfect for one person or a couple. (Prefer non-smokers)

What guests are saying
"We loved our stay, and we were sad to leave. The neighborhood was perfect. Great restaurants (we enjoyed Yellow Flower everyday) beautiful, and peaceful. Wayan was very kind and helpful. I'd recommend bringing earplugs just in case the frogs get particularly loud. The first night something must have set off the frogs because they were much louder than I could have imagined from the description. However, the frogs were perfectly reasonable the three other nights we stayed there. The shower is great under the skylight. For a low price, you get quite a large clean space with a lovely balcony and daily cleaning. I'd highly recommend staying here."

"Cozy Villa" says it all. Take the stairs from the busy street of Ubud and you're in a completely different world. The location of the house is great, exactly what I wanted. Also the help of Wayan made my stay memorable. Before I even finished my request she already took care of it."

"Staying at this little hidden gem was a great experience. It is in a very beautiful location and the house is so cute and cozy. We stayed for 9 days but wish we could have stayed longer. It really became our home away from home. The way the house is decorated adds a lot of personality. Wayan was such a sweetheart and took great care of us. The wifi was fast which was a treat too. This spot has everything you need and more. We are lucky to have found it and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ubud."

" Thank you again - an amazing place to start out Bali trip! Loved everything. Our stay at your house was amazing. It is in a fantastic location, everything is within walking distance and there are some great restaurants nearby. The house itself has a great vibe, and the housekeeper Wayan did a great job - we were very well taken care of. We will definitely be returning the next time we visit Bali!"

I had a delightful stay in Veronica's character filled house. Highlights included the natural, walled garden; relaxing in the huge spa-like bath; reading some of the great books provided in the cool of the evenings; and having an authentic breakfast prepared by Yan in the mornings. A great place from which to explore Penestanan and Ubud!

The moment we arrived at this beautiful house we knew we were going to love spending the month there. Every day was as relaxing and peaceful as the next. We truly fell in love with the house and Penestanan. It's close enough to walk to Ubud centre, but we preferred to stay in Penestanan. Gorgeous warungs' with delicious, healthy food were literally 2 minutes walk away, but they'll also deliver. We became regular's at Yellow Flower, Lala Lili and Made's warung. Bintang Supermarket is only a 5 minute stroll away. There's also an amazing library of books upstairs, I spent many hours reading in the hammock. But the best part about staying there has to be Wayan, the always-cheerful housekeeper. She makes delicious breakfast and is so much fun to chat to. We now consider her to be a good friend. We honestly loved every second of staying at Veronica's house and feel very blessed to have spent so much time enjoying it. Thanks!

I’m loving your house. Though I’d been to Penestanan many times to visit friends or pass through, I’d never actually spent one night here. It’s very nice. Thanks.
